WIR was founded in 2006 by Annett Selk and Marcel Janovsky (Treibstoff Recordings) as the basis for a social network. WIR is short for “We In Rhythm”.
Nowadays, Techno music is quite difficult to categorize. WIR works with new talents as well as established artists, representing open-minded, deep techno sound instead of the popular “electro-house” music overdose. In order to meet the demand of clubs, promoters & festivals as well as the need to promote the label artists, WIR invented WIR booking in 2007. The goal is to provide the artists with a full package of services including booking, promotion and of course the feeling of “being a member of a family”.
